Mounting Tire and

Wheel on Balancer

Wheel Adapters - When balancing large offset

wheels, use this procedure to achieve the best ride
quality available for vehicles with large offset hub
centric wheels. This method assures the wheel is
mounted on the balancer and on the vehicle using
the same location methods.

Mounting Tire and

Wheel on Vehicle

Initial Mounting on Vehicle (Vehicle or Axle off

Ground) - Valve and hub pilot tab should be at 12
o’clock at the initial lug nut tightening. Also, the vehi-
cle should be off of the ground at this point. Once all
lug nuts are secure and tight, lower the vehicle for
final lug nut torquing.

Tighten 60-80 ft. lbs.

Mounting on Balancer - Mount the wheel on the

balancer as shown in the schematic. Next rotate the
tire/rim assembly until the valve is at 12 o’clock;
loosen the hub nut and retighten with the valve at 12
o’clock. The hub nut should be very tight. Next, bal-
ance the tire in the usual manner.
