Note: Following alteration the ‘Adj’ value will lock after aproximately 2 seconds. If you pause

when entering the new value the ‘Adj’ feature may lock, indicated by the ‘Adj’ value changing
to ---- whenever the Up or Down buttons are pressed. If this happens exit to the ‘iP LiSt’ by
pressing the Page button () and re-access ‘Adj’ as described above.

Press Page () and Scroll () together to return to the set point temperature.

Upper calibration temperature adjustment:

Use the Up and Down buttons () to adjust the instrument set point to the value of the
Palladium mid melt temperature, and allow the furnace to heat to that temperature.

When the furnace has stabilised select ‘iP-LiSt’ using the Page button ().

Press the Scroll button () until the ‘CALS nonE’ is displayed; select ‘CAL.S iP1.H’ using the
Up and Down buttons ().

Press Scroll () to display the ‘Adj’ value; this is the upper calibration value.

Subtract the lower calibration temperature correction factor from the ‘Adj’ value, then add the
upper
calibration temperature correction factor; enter the new value using the Up and Down
buttons ().

For example, if the lower calibration temperature correction factor is calculated as ‘3’, the upper
calibration temperature correction factor is –5 and the ‘Adj’ value is ‘1560’, adjust the displayed
value to read 1552 (1560

5)=1552).
