5.2.2

Saving parameters

1. Set the parameters for parameter sets A and B.
2. Press a program key for longer than 1 second.

The control LED above the program key lights up. The parameters are saved.

5.2.3

Accessing saved parameters

Briefly press the prog 1, prog 2 or prog 3 program key to access the saved parameters.
The saved parameters will be shown in the display.

5.3 Triggering piezo impulses

1. Set the required parameters using the A or B rotary knobs or access the saved parameters

using the program keys.

2. Press the left foot control or A rotary knob to trigger the parameter set A. Press the right foot

control or B rotary knob to trigger the parameter set B.
As long as piezo impulses are emitted (rotary knob or foot control pressed), the rotary knob is

underlaid with a blue pool of light.

5.4 Optimizing parameters for capillaries

Clarify the following questions to ensure that the piezo impulses is transmitted immediately and

loss-free:

Which capillary is best suited for the planned application?

Which angle will the capillary be used in?

Does the capillary need to be filled? With what?

Set the piezo impulses according to the application, the capillary used and the filling

(see Optimizing parameters on p. 20).

5.4.1

Preparing capillaries with larger opening diameters

The following section contains a description of how to prepare capillaries with larger opening

diameters, e.g., for ES cell transfer to morula or blastocysts.

Hint!

If you select settings for parameter sets A and B that are already saved, the LED above

the program key will light up.

∞ (infinity): Piezo impulses will be emitted as long as the rotary knob or foot

control are pressed. The quantity of emitted piezo impulses is displayed after the

impulse series.
