4.2.2 Installing the actuator on the TransferMan
®
NK 2 or the PatchMan NP 2
In the following description, the TransferMan NK 2 or PatchMan NP 2 is mounted on the right
side of the microscope. If necessary, the X head must be converted in order to mount the
actuator in the same manner as the capillary holder.
1. Loosen the M3x12 cheese head screw and remove the X head.
3. Loosen the knurled screw. Remove the knurled screw and pressure plate from the X head.
Hint!
A conversion is not necessary if, e.g., the TransferMan NK 2 is operated using a 10°
plate and an A head.
If you use very long capillaries, the TransferMan NK 2 motor module can be moved
further away from the operating point. A more precise description can be found in the
TransferMan NK 2 operating manual in the chapter "Changing the position of the motor
module on the X-axis".

2. Rotate the X head 180°. Place the fitting pin
(on the rear side of the X head) in the center
bore of the tool holder.
Tighten the X head using the M3x12 cheese
head screw.
