Troubleshooting

For malfunctions directly related to combustion engines, please refer to the separate
operating instructions issued by the engine manufacturer.
Trouble

Electric motor does not
start following activation of
the switch
Power cable not connected Connect power cable
correctly
Electric motor defective or
overloaded due to another
defect in the unit
Shut down immediately
and have repaired by
authorised dealer, motor
/ engine manufacturer or
directly by LUKAS
Switch not or only partly
pressed through
Operate the switch again
and press it through fully.
Shut down immediately
and have repaired by
authorised dealer, motor
/ engine manufacturer or
directly by LUKAS
Switch switched on and off
too rapidly in succession
(switching time < 5
seconds).
Switch on the motor
and wait until the start
capacitor has charged.
The motor will then start
on its own.
Combustion engine will not
start
Fuel tank empty

Fuel tap not open
