Connecting your Duo Dock to Ethernet
Before you can use your dock on a network, you must connect it
to the Ether
net network by connecting an Ether
net adapter and
cable to the Ether
net port on the dock. Af
ter connecting the
dock, you must put the P
owerBook Duo in the dock and mak
e
sure your P
owerBook can communicate with the network.
With the appropriate Apple Ether
net adapter (or other
compatible adapter), you can connect your Duo Dock to an
existing Ether
net network using thin coax, 10BA
SE-T twisted pair
,
thick coax, or other standard cables. (See an Apple-authorized
dealer for more infor
mation on Apple Ether
net adapters for your
Duo Dock.)

Note:
The Ether
net illustrations in this chapter show the thin
coaxial connector type. The connector you use may be
different.
