Toyota Transmission Skid & Cat Theft Deterrent 2 Kit #87042
Install Skid Plate
1. Install kit skid plate
a. Install front of kit skid plate using two kit bolts
(3/8-16x1”) & washers into rear control arm
cross member existing holes.
b. Using two kit 3/8” washers & bolts to secure kit
skid plate onto transmission cross member.
c. Be sure all of your edges are lined up and clear
any brake lines or fuel lines. Tighten all kit
hardware at this time.
After Completing Installation
Miscellaneous
1. Check all fasteners to ensure they are tight.

Cross Member
Kit Bolts (3/8”)
Kit Skid Plate Installed
2. Ensure all wires, hoses, cables, etc. are properly
connected and there is ample slack.
