15. IGNITION COIL
15.5 Install Ignition coil.
A Place ignition coil shim (0.012”)
on magnet counterweight side of
flywheel.
B Set ignition coil in place.
C Install ignition coil screws, wave
washers, and plain washers with blue
Loctite
® .
Holding shim, rotate flywheel magnet
around to coil.
E Torque ignition coil screws to
26 in-lbs. (3 Nm).
F Remove shim, rotate flywheel to
check clearance.
15.6 Install flywheel shroud
15.7 Route yellow ignition stop switch wire
through crankcase into carburetor
chamber.
15.8 Complete ignition wire routing.
