9. Clean the primary corona wire inside the drum unit by gently sliding

the tab right and left several times.

10. When cleaning is completed, position the tab at the left end of the

drum unit (▲ mark position.)

☛ Caution
Be sure to position the tab at the home position or to the left end of the
drum after cleaning.

11. Re-install the drum unit into the printer.

See the section “REPLACING THE DRUM UNIT” in Chapter 5.

12. Close the drum cover and top cover.

☛ Caution
Be sure to close the drum cover securely by pressing down firmly on both
sides next to the blue tabs.

13. Install the multi-purpose sheet feeder.

See the section “MULTI-PURPOSE SHEET FEEDER” in Chapter 2.

14. Plug in the power cord.
