-LAN Alerting
Destination- (*1)
Specifies the destination address for SNMP Traps.
[Disable] radio button
Select this if you wish to disable SNMP traps.
[Enable] radio button
Select this if you wish to enable SNMP traps.
[IP Address] edit box
Enter the destination IP address for SNMP traps.
[MAC Address] edit
box
Enter the destination MAC address for SNMP traps.
[Use the Default
Gateway] radio
button
Select this option if the SNMP traps are sent through the Default
Gateway
[Use the Backup
Gateway] radio
button
Select this option if the SNMP traps are sent through the Backup
Gateway
[Set] button
Saves the settings.
(*1) The number of the destination that can be set up differs by an agent machine model.
In order to receive SNMP traps on the Management Proxy, enter the IP address and the
MAC address of your Management Proxy in the fields “LAN Alerting Destination” on the LAN
Alerting Configuration Screen (the screen shown above). The Management Proxy needs to
be installed on another machine than the Management Proxy. The contents of SNMP Traps
received by the Management Proxy can be checked on the Error Log screen. If an e-mail
address is entered, or HEW is configured to show an alert message, an administrator can
receive reports whenever a management proxy receives an SNMP Trap.
