Messages for Audio Functions
When problems occur with AV source playback, an error message appears on the display. Refer
to the table below to identify the problem, then take the suggested corrective action. If the error
persists, contact your dealer or your nearest Pioneer Service Centre.
The messages in
“( )” will appear on the “Rear display”.

by the navigation system
Replace the disc with one the navigation sys-
tem can play.
Thermal error (THERMAL PRO-
TECTION IN MOTION)
The temperature of the navigation
system is outside of the normal op-
erating range
Wait until the unit
’s temperature returns to
within normal operating limits.
Error not defined (ERROR-FF-
FF)

Non-playable tracks are

Files that are protected by digital
rights management.

The playback history for VOD con-
tents cannot be saved for some rea-
son.
• Try saving again.
• If the message appears frequently, consult
your dealer.
Authorization Error (AUTHOR-
IZATION ERROR)
The device does not match the de-
vice registered with the VOD provi-
der. VOD contents cannot be played
back.
Check whether this device has been regis-
tered with the VOD provider.
File Error Non-playable file
VOD rental contents file error
• Try saving again.
• If the message appears frequently, consult
your dealer.
Played back a disc with incompati-
ble format.
Playback a disc with compatible format.
Press track list to play and
title will appear.
The disc that has many files are
played and all titles cannot be dis-
played at once.
Touch the one of listed items to play.
