Installing the additional file
for voice guidance (TTS files)
TTS file is used to read out the street name in
the route guidance and notification on arrival
short messaging service (SMS) by navigation
system. In default, the files for some lan-
guages are preinstalled and other languages
are not installed. If you want to activate the
guidance with TTS for such languages, copy
the files from the supplied CD-ROM and im-
port the files into the navigation system via ex-
ternal storage device (USB, SD).
Preinstalled TTS language files
English (UK), Russian, Français, Deutsch
p The maximum four replaceable languages
can be stored.
CAUTION
NEVER turn the ignition switch or turn off the
power to the navigation system until installation
completes. Power-off in the process of installa-
tion may cause a failure on the built-in memory.

Create a folder named
“TTS” on the
top-most directory of the external storage
device (USB, SD) and store the TTS files in
this folder.
Copy the TTS files of your desired language
into this folder from the supplied CD-ROM.

Insert the SD memory card into the SD
card slot or plug the USB storage device to
the USB connector.

Touch [Language] on the
“System Set-
tings
” menu.

Touch the key next to
“Voice lan-
guage:
”.
The language list is displayed.

Touch [TTS Setup].
The replaceable languages will appear.

Touch [Add TTS].
If five replaceable languages are already
stored, touch the language to make replace-
ment.

Touch [from SD] or [from USB].
The screen for file selection appears.

Touch the language that you want to
import.
