Intel Rapid Start
Intel Rapid Start Technology enables systems to quickly resume from deep sleep.
Intel Rapid Start Technology requests a SSD partition, and the size should be equal
to the amount of DRAM in a system, in order to transfer active memory pages from
system DRAM to SSD (from S3 to S4 mode).
To enable Intel Rapid Start Technology:
1. Click the Intel Rapid Start button, the Shrink SSD Volume dialogue will pop up.
2. Select “Auto” (DRAM + 1G) or “Manual”.
3. If you select “Manual”, specify the partition size of SSD.
4. Click Apply.
Intel Smart Response
Intel Smart Response Technology intelligently caches applications and data blocks
from HDD to the SSD for improving system performance.
To enable Intel Smart Response Technology:
1. Click the Intel Smart Response button.
2. Click the Apply button.
Intel Smart Connect
Intel Smart Connect Technology schedules the system to wake up from Sleep (S3) to
update data in a lower power state for a short time.
To enable Intel Smart Connect Technology:
1. Click the Intel Smart Connect button.
2. Click the Apply button.
