5.2 System Boot-up
If the USB cable is connected to the CK49x Evaluation System, the system will boot up in USB mode
upon power up or system reset. The LCD displays “Wait for USB enumeration…” message first and then
shows the board name,” CK49x”, “USB” which signifies that a USB connection is active, and the MCU
firmware revision number that is currently active.
If the USB cable is not connected to the CK49x Evaluation System, the system will boot in Standalone
mode on power up or system reset. The LCD displays “Booting 49x” and firmware revision number if DSP
startup failed. Otherwise, the LCD displays “Booted 49x Successfully!” message and then goes to the
Status Display mode.
If the MCU application does not recognize the installed daughter card, the user should check the
connection between the DS4953x daughter card and the CDB49x main board, and, if necessary,
reconnect the two boards. This action should correct any connectivity problems between the two boards.
