It takes some time to
display an image file.
It may take some time to display large image files.
A particular image
cannot be displayed
Some large images may contain too much data to be
displayed.
The unit may be unable to display some images that
have been edited on a computer.
The unit does not
recognize an image
file as an image file.
Check that the data is saved into the correct folder
on the internal memory or the “Memory Stick Duo”
( page 154).
If a computer is used to change the file or folder
name on the internal memory or the “Memory Stick
Duo” or to move the file or folder to another
location, the unit may be unable to recognize it.
Images that are not compatible with the unit are not
recognized ( page 151).
A folder on a
“Memory Stick Duo”
cannot be deleted.
If there is non-image data in the folder, the folder
cannot be deleted.
Video
Symptom
Cause or corrective action
It takes some time to
start playback of a
video file.
It may take some time to start playback of large video
files.
Videos cannot be
played.
Videos with a high bit rate or videos not in MPEG4
format may not be played on the unit. Check that the
video files were created with or converted to a bit rate
of 768 kbps or lower.
Playback pauses.
When the video playback mode is set to “Mode A” and
the unit reaches to the end of a video file, playback
pauses. Press the BACK button to return to the video
file list.
The unit does not
recognize a video
file as a video file.
Video data of types that are not compatible with the
unit are not recognized ( page 160).
If a computer is used to change the file or folder name
on the “Memory Stick Duo” or to move the file or
folder to another location, the unit may be unable to
recognize it.
