3.1.4 Special conditions for safe use
• The O-ring at the back cover shall be replaced by a new one after each opening of the back cover, in order to
maintain the IP66/67 ingress protection rating.
• The maximum constructional gaps (ic) are less than that stated in Table 2 of EN 60079-1:2007. Conform clause
5.1 of EN 60079-1:2007, as reported in table.

• The cameras to be installed shall not be electromagnetic or contain lasers, continuous wave sources or
ultrasonic energy radiating equipment.
• The cameras to be installed shall not contain cells or batteries.
• The cameras to be installed shall dimensionally be no greater than 80mm (wide) x 82mm (high) x 245mm
(long) and be of a basic geometric form, and installed at least 10mm from the inner surface of the enclosure
window.
3.1.5 Additional information
The MHX and MHXT series CCTV camera housings in addition have passed the tests for Ingress Protection to
IP66 and IP67 in accordance with EN60529:1991/A1 2001.
