Configuring Serial Line Operation

Set Serial Line Settings

Use the SERI command to set the serial line settings. The new settings
will be taken into use when the transmitter is reset or powered up. Note
that the transmitter will use its default serial line settings if it is in error
state; see section Error State on page 60.

Also note that changing the serial line settings will slightly alter how the
transmitter works with the MI70 indicator. If you are not using the
default settings of 19200 N 8 1, you will have to power off the MI70
before it can find the transmitter (you cannot connect it on-the-fly).

SERI [b p d s]

where

B

=

baud rate (300, 600, 1200, 2400, 4800, 9600, or 19200)

P

=

parity (n = none, e = even, o = odd)

D =

data bits (7 or 8)

S

=

stop bits (1 or 2)

Example:

seri 9600 e 7 1
Baud P D S : 9600 E 7 1

Set Serial Line Response Time

With the SDELAY command you can set delay (response time) of the
serial line or view the currently set delay value. Increasing the value by
one increases the delay by 4 milliseconds. For example, value of 5 equals
~20 ms answer delay.

SDELAY [x]

where

x = Serial line delay (0 … 255)

Example:

sdelay 1
Serial delay : 1
