General Installation Notes:

Before starting installation, scotch vehicle tires to avoid accidental move-
ment of the vehicle. Do not attempt to install this product while the engine
is running. Disconnect negative battery cable before beginning installation.
Refer to Fig. 1 for the component names.
The Lokar Throttle Cable Bracket is designed to be used with a
Lokar Throttle Cable and (if applicable) a Lokar Kickdown Cable
and Lokar Cruise Control Cable.
Step 1: Disconnect the throttle cable and (if applicable)
the kickdown cable and cruise control cable from
the throttle body pulley. Remove the cable(s)
from the original throttle cable bracket, and then
remove the original throttle cable bracket.
Step 2: Install the new Lokar throttle cable bracket in the
same location as the original, using your original
hardware, as shown in
Fig. 2.
Step 3: If you are not using a kickdown cable or a cruise
control cable, you will not need the new kickdown
bracket, and you can proceed to
Step 4 now. If you
are using a kickdown cable and/or a cruise control
cable, install the kickdown bracket onto the throttle
body pulley as shown in
Fig. 2. The kickdown stud
and 1/4"-28 nylock nut will go in the bottom hole,
and the 1/4"-28 x 1/2" button head bolt goes in the
top hole.
Step 4: Install the throttle cable into the throttle cable
bracket, using the lower hole that is closest to
the intake manifold. Connect the throttle cable
to the throttle body pulley and adjust as described
in the Throttle Cable Installation Instructions.
If you are using a kickdown cable, install it into the
top hole in the throttle cable bracket. Connect it to
the kickdown stud on the throttle body pulley. Adjust
the kickdown cable as described in the Kickdown
Cable Installation Instructions.

Step 4 (Continued) If you are
using a cruise control cable,
install it into the outer hole on
the bottom of the throttle cable
bracket, beside the throttle
cable. Connect it to the original
cruise control stud on the
throttle body pulley. Adjust the
cruise control cable as described
in the Cruise Control Cable
Installation Instructions.
See Fig. 3 for a completed instal-
lation with a kickdown cable and
a cruise control cable.
NOTE: Check to make sure there
is no binding in any of the
cables before starting the engine
or driving the vehicle.
