3PAR Management Plug-In and Recovery Manager 2.1.0 for VMware vSphere User’s Guide

Secure service - The location of the

httpcfg.exe

file is required for Windows 2003.

In the Plugin Registration group box, enter the following information:

vCenter Server - The name of the vCenter Server.

◆

User name - The administrator user name.

◆

Password - The administrator user password.

Click Next.

Click Close.

NOTE: VMware vCenter Server 4.0 and 4.1 are supported in this release.

NOTE: The same instance of 3PAR Management Plug-In and Recovery Manager

for VMware vSphere can be registered with multiple vCenter Servers. Use the

RMVMware Admin Tool to register 3PAR Management Plug-In and Recovery

Manager for VMware vSphere. Refer to

page 4.3 for instructions on accessing the RMVMware Admin Tool and

on page 4.8 for instructions on registering the plug-in.

NOTE: VMware allows vCenter Servers to link to other vCenter Servers. However,

to display the 3PAR tab and associated information correctly, each vCenter Server

should be connected via separate VI client sessions.

3PAR Management Plug-In and Recovery Manager for VMware vSphere does not

support VMware vCenter Linked Mode server. Refer to:
