Physical interface (PIF) objects are the ports on these resources through which LAN connections are
made:

Ethernet ServerNet addressable controllers (E4SA

Gigabit Ethernet ServerNet addressable controllers (GESA SACs)

Common Controller ServerNet addressable controllers (CCSA SACs)

Service State

Displayed in the Attributes tab and Attributes dialog box only if the value is
something other than OK.

Values

Logical

Current Configured Speed

Valid only for FESA and GESA PIFs.

The transmission rate for the ServerNet addressable controller.

Duplex Mode

The transmission mode for the ServerNet addressable controller.

Values: Half Duplex, Full Duplex, Unknown

Network MAC Address

The media access control (MAC) address of the PIF network.

Maximum Speed

The maximum transmission rate for the ServerNet addressable
controller.

Values: 10 megabits per second, 100 megabits per second, Unknown

Device State

The state of the component as known to the operating system on the
server.

Values

Processors with Data Path

The processor numbers for processors that have a successful data path to
the PIF. If no processor has a path, "None" is shown.

Example: (0,1)

Hardware MAC Address

The media access control (MAC) address of the PIF hardware.
