Description

Attribute Name

Section

The system's host name, IP address, or VM
name as discovered by HP SIM. An HP SIM
administrator can manually set this value by
editing the system properties.

System Name

General System Information

The system's fully qualified domain name as
discovered by HP SIM.

Hostname

The system's primary IP address as identified
by HP SIM.

IP

A system can be grouped into one of several
possible system types. For example, an ESX
host is typed as a VM Host, and a standalone
system is typed as a Server.

Type

The system's hardware model as identified by
HP SIM. For example, HP ProLiant DL 380 G7.

Model

The location value, set by the system
administrator using HP SIM's system properties
page.

Location

The number of VM guests associated with any
VM host at the end of the selected interval.

NOTE:

For a non-VM host, the guest count

will appear as Not Applicable (N/A).

Guest Count

The version of the hypervisor that hosts the VM
guest.

Associated Hypervisor Version

The type of operating system, based on its core
technology. For example, a Red Hat system is
grouped as Linux.

OS Type

Operating System

The system's operating system as discovered
by HP SIM.

OS

The vendor-provided build details of the
operating system, as discovered by HP SIM.
