Description

On a scale of 0–5, this value indicates the
system's available headroom across all
resources.

In a system with a rating of 0, one or more
resources do not fit in the system and the
system's utilization limits have been exceeded.

A system with a rating of 5 has more than
twice the needed headroom across each of its
resources.

For more information, see

“Headroom star

rating” (page 26)

.

Five-Star

System Health and Fitness

The system's utilization limits have been
exceeded during the selected interval.

See

“Utilization limits ” (page 28)

for more

information on utilization limits.

Sys Lim Exceeded

The system's status as defined by HP SIM at
the end of the selected interval. Status options
are critical, major, minor, normal, disabled,
informational, and unknown.

CPU Utilization (%) is computed by taking the
CPU Utilization (cores) value and dividing it
by the number of cores in the server during the
selected interval.

Note that gWLM can change the number of
cores in an Integrity nPartition or virtual
partition, so the utilization percentage can vary
even when the utilization in cores does not
vary.

Peak CPU (%)

CPU Utilization (%)

15-Min CPU (%)

90%ile CPU (%)

Avg CPU (%)

The average number of cores in use during the
selected interval. As VMs move from one VM
host to another with faster cores, the CPU
utilization in cores can vary even when the
workload is constant.

Capacity Advisor corrects the CPU utilization
for changes in the processors' P-state. This
correction computes the load that would be
seen if the processors were in state p0.
Because of this, it is possible for the CPU
utilization to go over 100% when Turbo Boost
is used. The Turbo Boost speed is faster than
p0 but it cannot be sustained.

15-Min CPU (cores)

90%ile CPU (cores)

Avg CPU (cores)

This metric shows how many threads in the
operating system are waiting to get CPU time.
Currently, it is collected only from standalone
Windows and Linux servers.

The value should be below 2. If it is higher,
system performance can be improved by
adding more, or faster cores.
