5.3.8 4-20mA Output Setup

This menu entry is used to address Detcon AO-4 modules 4-20mA output. Use the up, down arrows to
increment, and decrement the entries. Press ‘ENTER’ after each CH# selection entry is made. Do not wait
until all entries are made before pressing the ‘ENTER’ key. The CH# entry should start at 01 and increment
up until you reach the capacity of the AO-4 modules you are connecting to (Note: there are four channels per
AO-4 module). The “Device” number must be a unique number that matches the Device ID# setting on the
front plate of the AO-4 module. The “Address” entry should increment between 1 and 4 representing the four
4-20mA outputs from each AO-4 module.

NOTE: If there are no AO-4 modules being used, do not enter any device and address information on this
screen. Miss-information entered here will cause the controller to generate a ‘No Communication Fault’.
