•
Enter the antenna measurement for the rover.
•
Tap
6HW 5RYHU
5.
Collect control points.
•
From the GPS Survey menu, tap Control Points.
•
Collect control points
CHAP
,
54
, and
1
by entering their
names in the
Point
control (or selecting them from the map or
list) and tap
&RQWURO.
•
On the Occupy Control Point screen, flag each point to use as
both
Horizontal
and
Vertical
control points. Tap
$FFHSW to add
the control point geodetic coordinate to the selected point
record.
6.
Solve Localization.
•
Tap
3URMHFWLRQ to open the Projection information screen. Tap
6ROYH /RFDOL]DWLRQ.
•
The control points you just collected are listed in the
Control
Points
control. Make sure they are all selected for horizontal
(
H
) and vertical (
V
) control.
•
Tap
6ROYH! to calculate the Localization solution and display
the residual/misclosure values for each point. In this case,
the residuals are all 0.0, since the measurements were
simulated and mathematically perfect.
•
Tap
1H[W! to examine the solution parameters.
•
The scale is 0.999998631. This is approximately –1.4ppm,
or less than 2mm in 1Km, and would be considered near
perfect. Solutions using actual field measurements will
usually have a scale around 15-25 ppm.
•
The rotation is 1-57-48. You may or may not be able to
evaluate this answer. In our example, the job file ground
coordinates were created by scaling and translating
Oregon North map projection coordinates, so the rotation
is the negative of the meridian convergence on OR North.
In other jobs, the bearings may have arbitrary
orientation, in which case the rotation value will adjust to
the local bearings.
