The diagram below shows the proper way to connect the Farm Hand family of auxillary alarm outputs to a Farm
Hand Alert Alarm. The alarm activates when the connection is broken between the OUT and IN terminals.

Note 1: As long as a path for current to flow is present, the Alert
Alarm is not activated. Consequently, if one controller alarms, the
path will be broken and the alarm will be activated.
