Gas Tubing Assembly

1. Refer to Figure 5 for gas tube assembly.
2. Thread orifice [21] into lower portion of the burner. Use caution to keep the orifice

bracket from becoming misaligned while tightening the orifice. Misalignment will cause
poor operation.

control enclosure), slide the brass nut and ferrule over the gas tubing, insert the tubing
into the brass fitting, and tighten the brass nut.

4. Remove brass nut [23] and ferrule [22] from orifice. Slide brass nut and ferrule over the

gas tubing, insert the tubing into the orifice, and tighten the brass nut.

6.8. Wiring

1. See wiring diagram on back page of the manual for wiring inside the control enclosure.

(See 120 VAC diagram p.14 or 240 VAC diagram p. 15).

2. Route wires along the gas tubing.
3. Connect brown wire and orange wire to the white wires coming from the igniter. The

brown wire and orange wire are interchangeable with the igniter wires.

4. Refer to Figure 2 in back of manual for flame sense probe installation. Insert flame

sense probe [7] into the larger of the two mounting openings. Attach green ground wire
underneath screw that holds the flame probe into place.

5. Attach with 8-32 X 1/2” screw [12] and 8-32 nut [13].
6. Start with the wires nearest the orifice [21] and attach wires to gas tubing [24] by means

of 10 equally spaced wire ties. Pull any loose wire into the controls enclosure [16].

7. Installation

Installation of your assembled brooder involves two steps:

1. Hanging the Unit
2. Gas Tube Hookup

In the first section below we have an example drawing of how to hang the unit, then the next section
covers gas hookup, including checking that the gas supplied to the unit is at the correct pressure.
Remember to follow all safety precautions when hanging the unit, and hooking up the gas supply.
