Instructions
The brooder is simple to operate because it only has one switch. To turn the unit ON, flip the switch
on back of the controls enclosure to the ON position. Likewise, to turn the unit OFF, flip the switch on
back of the controls enclosure to the OFF position.
If you have a thermostat connected to your brooder, (as shown in wiring diagram on last page of
manual) you will need to set your thermostat, then turn the brooder on. Remember, that once you turn
the brooder on, it may start at any time. If you must reach into the unit, please disconnect power for
your own safety.
9. Maintenance
1. Your Super Saver Bunsen Jet Radiant Brooder should be inspected before each use and at least
annually by a qualified service person.
2. The appliance area should be kept clear and free from combustible materials, gasoline, and other
flammable vapors and liquids.
3. The gas hose should be inspected prior to each use of the brooder. If it is evident there is
excessive abrasion or wear, or the hose is cut, it must be replaced prior to the brooder being put
into operation.
4. The flow of combustion and ventilation air must not be obstructed.
5. Inspect brooder and gas connections periodically for gas leaks with an approved gas leak testing
solution. (Soap and water work well.)
6. The burner, flame sense probe, orifice, and igniter assemblies should be kept clean and free of
carbon build-up.
7. The brooder must be cool before wash-down. Do not operate brooder for one hour following
wash-down.
8. Thermostat coils must be kept clean to assure proper temperature control.
