Replacing the Battery
NOTE:
z
The product design allows you to change the battery with the PS-B unit either on
or off. In some countries, safety regulations do not allow you to change batteries
while the unit is on.
z
Previous settings will be restored when changing the battery with the power
turned off (as the settings are stored in non-volatile EEPROM). However, the date
and time must be reset bacause this data is lost when changing the battery.
z
Only qualified personnel can change the battery.

Maintenance section (see page 125) before attempting this procedure.

Replace battery with identical type.
z
Follow all battery manufacturer’s instructions.
z
Do not recharge, disassemble, heat above 100
°C (212 °F), or incinerate.
z
Use your hands or insulated tools to remove or replace the battery.
z
Maintain proper polarity when inserting and connecting a new battery.
z
Remove all replaceable batteries before discarding the PS-B unit.
z
Recycle or properly dispose of used batteries.
