The CGR-30P provides four levels of passwords for configuring, setting
up and calibrating the unit. During ground operation all of the System
Configuration Screens and data may be viewed without a password, but
a password is required to change data.

User Password – The User Password allows the pilot to
lockout any changes to fields in the User Setup Screens. The
password is set to “blank” when the system is setup at the
factory. This allows easy access for simple changes. To lock
these screens, set a User Password. Be sure to record this
password and keep it in a safe place.

Maintenance Password – The Maintenance Password allows
the installer to calibrate the fuel tanks, set the #1 cylinder (for the
Bar Graph display), set the Tach Time, setup the serial ports, backup configuration files and retrieve con-
figuration files.

OEM and EI Password – The OEM and EI Passwords allow full access to all fields in all screens.

The Unlock codes at the bottom of the screen allow Electronics International to decode any of the current pass-
words.

7.3 Aircraft ID Screen:

The Aircraft ID Screen identifies the aircraft for which the CGR-30P was configured. Do Not install a CGR-30P
into an aircraft for which it was not configured. Limits and calibration data may not be appropriate for a different
aircraft.

7.4 Hour Meters and Flight Timers Screen:

This screen is used to setup the current Tach Time, Engine Time and the triggers for the Flight Timer. Engine Time
is used for TC work or logging flight hours.

7.5 Serial Port and EDC Setup Screen:

This screen is used to setup the four serial ports. The Com1, Rx-
Function field should be used for the EDC (19200, 8, None, 1). Use
Com2, Rx-Function field to monitor a second EDC. Use Com3, Rx-
Function field to receive GPS data and the Tx-Function to send fuel flow
data to the GPS. Check GPS requirements for proper settings. Use
Com4, Rx-Function field to monitor the CO Guardian detector.
