Is the proper gauge wire used between
the exhauster power box assembly and
the burner control box?
Does the
burner ignite?
Does the burner
stay on?
Is the gas supply
to the heater in
the ON position?
Does the burner stay on
for approx. 15 seconds
and then shut off?
Does the burner come
on and turn off
immediately (1 or 2
seconds)?
Check to make sure gas pressure
is within minimum and maximum
inputs, as indicated on the burner
rating plate. Is gas pressure OK?
Pressure
switch may
be faulty or
there is a
restriction in
the exhaust.
Does the heater
stay ON until the
call for heat ends?

• Improper grounding.
• High winds.
• Taking combustion air from the attic.
• Dirty environment.
• Improperly positioned baffles.
• Fluctuating gas pressure.
