To do this ENSURE ratio arms are in position as illustrated. This position is when the ratio drive
is at the lowest bottom position with both ratio arms parallel. If the arms are not in this position,
momentarily operate the pump control and stop the pump at this position.
It will be observed that the ratio holes are ALL aligned when the arms are in this position.
IMPORTANT NOTE. Never attempt to change catalyst ratio when the ratio arms are not in this
ratio change position.
Also never attempt to use one ratio hole on the upper arm and a different ratio hole set on the
lower ratio arm assembly. In this instance the pump will work BUT the catalyst pump shaft will
become bent and damaged also the pump will not run vertically.
Secure ratio Pivot bolt at the 3% position with 6mm washer in position and M5 Nylock nut and
replace guard securely.
3.9 Turn Machine air supply ON and press reset pushbutton on right hand side. Set Pump
speed pressure to 3 bar and Mix Resin pressure to 2 bar.
3.10 Operate recirculation to ON position and observe Catalyst and Resin pipes prime with their
materials. At least 50 strokes indicated on the counter should be counted to ensure full priming
of all fluid sections.
NOTE. It is possible to initially prime the catalyst pump and its fluid section using only hand
action to operate the catalyst pump up and down. To do this the catalyst pump is first
disconnected at the top ratio arm by unclipping the top pump piston rod spring trunnion clip.
(See exploded view of catalyst pump for clip details) The operator can see and feel the pump
prime and observe an adequate priming flow back into the catalyst bottle. If this alternative
manual priming is carried out there is only the need to follow operation procedure 3.10 above to
prime the resin pump
3.11. Stop pump and prepare to prime head block and mixer for the first time.
3.12 IMPORTANT. Attach the 1 metre priming Pipe securely with quick release connection to
Mixer outlet point. Secure firmly the other end in a waste container. Alternatively the Turbo
Autosprue may be connected but so that it does not open during this initial priming exercise
simply do not connect the 4 mm red signal line. However do secure the clear 10mm drain pipe
before hand. to a safe container.
3.14. Set pre determining counter to at least 4 counts and press counter reset button
3.15 Press inject green button. The pump will stop after the predetermined volume of resin mix
has been dispensed to drain.
3.16 The RGA Resin Gel Alarm will sound (see separate section on RGA at the end of this
section 3.)
