Installation Instructions
Procedure
1. Hang the plate & chain assembly on the
ledge inside the adapter as shown below.
2. Adjust the chain length and wing nut
position so that the probe is suspended
¼" above the tank bottom (refer to
the ATG Installation Manual for more
information).
3. Insert the probe wire through the wire grip
nut so that the end of the probe plug is
on the inside of the cover.
4. Tighten the wire grip nut with 75-100 in.
lbs. of torque.
Care Instructions
• Inspect the riser pipe’s threads for foreign
material and burrs. Clean the threads as
necessary.
• Reapply a light coat of petroleum jelly to the
o-ring adaptor if needed.
• Use gasoline-resistant pipe sealant on the
adaptor, then thread the adaptor onto the
riser pipe with 20-25 ft. lbs. of torque.
• Check to see if the o-ring adaptor was
pushed out of place. If it was, then unthread
the adaptor and retorque.

area. To help eliminate these unsafe conditions, secure the area by using a service truck to block access to the work
