Mounting Suggestions

Passenger Seat
Hardware:
• (1) Stock Rear Fender Screw
• One Black Nylon Washer x 2 (Included)
• Solo Seat Mounting Nuts Mustang Part#78032 or H-D equivalent (Not Included)
Baseplate Features:
Passenger Seats are built on 16 gauge formed steel baseplates and
feature carpet and rubber bumpers to protect the fender. Rear seats
have two slots in the baseplate and a chrome rear mounting tab.
Stock Passenger Seat Removal Steps
1. Remove the rear fender screw.
2. Slide the passenger seat back and up.
Mounting of Mustang Seat
1. Front of baseplate is slotted and engages into the bolts/nuts in the
fender at the rear of the solo seat.
2. The supplied nylon washer goes between the rear mounting tab and the fender. Secure with
stock rear fender screw.
Note: 1997-1998 models require that the black retention clip must be left in place to hold the
nut insert in fender;1997-1998 models require seat mounting bolts (Mustang part #78028) or
stock Harley-Davidson®.
1999-up models: the studs in the fender have some movement to help with lining up the
tabs.;1999-up models: require Road King seat mounting nuts (Mustang part #78032 or
stock H-D). (FIG. 1)
