Installation instructions for
Mustang Solo seat for 1983-2013
Police Air-Ride models
Stock seat removal
1. Pivot stock seat up to reveal mounting bolts.
2. Unscrew three bolts from bottom of stock seat.
These bolts will not be used with the Mustang solo
seat.
3. Remove stock seat from the pivoting bracket.
Mustang seat installation
1. Remove hex nuts from studs on bottom of Mus-
tang solo seat.
2. Position Mustang solo seat onto pivoting bracket,
aligning the three threaded studs with the holes in the
bracket.
3. Install the three supplied hex nuts and tighten.
4. Pivot seat into riding position.
Note:
Between 1983 and 2011, the stock pivoting
brackets have gone through some changes, but the
mounting hole pattern has remained constant, and
this enables the Mustang police solo to be used on
any year within this range without the need for any al-
teration or extra hardware.
