6 Configuration

6.1 Configuration measurement loop, two independent single measure-

ments

Configuration

The measurement loop configuration is usu-
ally provided as a factory setting. Should a
general modification of the measurement loop
configuration be necessary, first of all a "Re-
set to single measurement“ or "Reset to
linked application“ should be carried out (with
"Reset to single measurement“ the VEGAMET
is prepared for configuration of two inde-
pendent single measurements. With "Reset to
linked application“ it is prepared for configu-
ration of linked applications). Only then can
adjustments in the menu items Application,
Sensor type, Mode and Option be modified.
Proceed in the menu items in the given se-
quence. The adjustment or selection possi-
bilities always depend on what was adjusted
in the previous menu item. When e.g. in the
menu item Application "Level“ is adjusted,
only one sensor type can be selected in the
menu item "Sensor type“ which is suitable for
level detection.

As soon as you have made an adjustment in
the menu item "Option“ and confirmed it, the
display shows the message: "TAG being
created!“.

You choose the application 4/20 mA if you
want to connect a sensor of another manu-
facturer to VEGAMET.

In the following illustrations, different types of
applications are shown. In addition, you will
see which adjustments you have to carry out
in the menu items "Sensor type“ and "Mode“.

The menu item "Position D“ only appears
when in the menu item "Option“ either "Offset
correction“ or "Real value correction“ has
been set. The menu item "Position E“ only
appears when in the menu item "Option“
either "Density correction“ or "DK correction“
has been set.
