Deregister handsets and doorbells

If you want to replace a handset/doorbell, or reassign the designated handset/doorbell

number of a registered handset/doorbell, you must deregister all system devices that

are registered to the telephone base. Then register each handset/doorbell individually.
Make sure the doorbell(s) is powered on before deregistration.
To deregister all handsets and doorbells:

Press and hold

/FIND HANDSET on the telephone base for about 10 seconds

until the

IN USE light flashes.

Immediately press

/FIND HANDSET again. You must press /FIND HANDSET

while the

IN USE light is still flashing. The IN USE light flashes for about

five seconds.
When the deregistration is successful, all handsets show

Put handset on BASE to

register, and the doorbell light on the doorbell flashes for about five seconds and

then turns off. The deregistration process takes about 10 seconds to complete.

To register the handset(s) and doorbell(s) to the telephone base again, follow the

registration instructions on pages 85-86.

You cannot deregister all devices if any other system device is in use.
If the deregistration fails, you may need to reset the system and try again. To reset,

unplug the power from the telephone base and plug it back in.
Even if the battery is depleted, you can still deregister all handsets by following the

steps above. After the handset is charged for at least 10 minutes, the handset shows

Put handset on BASE to register.
