TO REPLACE THE HS HUMIDITY
SENSING ELEMENT (HWXW SERIES
ONLY)
The HS element is located on the back side of the sensor. Open the housing as shown
in the previous section, steps 2 and 3.
The element is installed in a 4-pin connector in the bottom right corner of this board.

1. Remove the batteries.
2. Remove the HS element by gently pulling from the pin connector.
3. Place a new HS element onto the pin connector. Orient as shown, or the unit will
not function.

4. Re-insert the batteries.
5. Reinstall the sensor on the backplate and replace the cover.
