13.1
Tandem Configuration
The Tandem configuration is a unit, consisting of two telephones using the
same directory number. One of the telephones is defined as the primary and
the other one as the secondary. This function enhances the communication
for users that, for example, have a wired phone on their desk (the primary
telephone) and need to be mobile within their company’s building with their own
portable (the secondary telephone).
13.1.1
Activating Tandem configuration
To activate the Tandem configuration, do the following:
1.
Dial * 28 # to log on the secondary phone.
2.
Press C to finish the procedure.
For incoming calls:
•
Both telephones are treated as 1 single extension.
For outgoing calls:
•
Both telephones are treated as 2 separate extensions.
13.1.2
Deactivating Tandem configuration
To deactivate the tandem configuration, do the following:
Dial # 28 # to log off the secondary phone.
For incoming calls:
•
The secondary telephone cannot be called and the primary telephone
works as a normal standalone telephone.
For outgoing calls:
•
Both telephones are treated as 2 separate extensions.
13.1.3
Transferring a call between members of a Tandem unit
To transfer a call between members of a Tandem unit, do the following:

Press the Line button.
