8. LUN Masking

1. Click the LUN Masking check box to enable it.
2. Select the desired Client Port from the drop-down list, “Client Port 1” in the example below.
3. Click the “Mask” check box of any available LUN that you do not want the currently selected Client
Port to see. In the example above, Client Port 1 has four partitions (LUN0 on Storage Port 1, LUN 1
& 2 on Storage Port 2, and LUN1 on Storage Port 3) which are “masked out.” In other words, these
four partitions will not been seen by the user at that workstation.
4. Repeat this process for all Client Ports as appropriate. However, note that unless you are using a SAN
software, each available LUN should only be mapped to (seen by) one Client Port to avoid data
