6. Maintenance

a. Open each area and clean both surfaces of the transports.
b. Remove any residual moisture with a dry, lint-free cloth.

patterns for white spots.

4. Use the 70% halftone.pdf test patterns to run fifty prints (8.5 x

11 inch/A4) of each color (C, Y, M, K).
a. Examine the prints for white spots.
b. Run fifty additional prints for each color still showing the

defect.

c. Examine the last five prints for spots.
d. Run fifty additional prints for each color still showing the

defect.

e. If the problem continues, contact your Xerox Service

Representative.

5. If large amounts of paper dust are frequently observed,

contact your Xerox Supplies Representative for an alternate

paper recommendation.

NOTE: If Xerox analysis determines that persistent paper
contamination is due to cut papers or the use of non-
recommended material, the customer may be liable for extended
costs outside the scope of the service contract.
