Add new handsets to make your telephone more versatile (see page 63)
Your VTech 5871/5873 telephone system can operate up to eght handsets. You can add new
handsets (model number 5808, sold separately) at any tme, but each must be regstered wth the
base unt before use.
The handset provded wth your telephone s automatcally regstered as Handset 1. Addtonal handsets
wll be assgned numbers n the order they are regstered (2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8). A maxmum of eght
handsets can be regstered to each base unt.
