Gatekeeper
Gatekeeper Enables the gateway to register to a Gatekeeper. The Gatekeeper IP Address must also be
filled in. When registered, the H.323 Gatekeeper Status shows Registered, Gatekeeper’s IP
address and what port used.
Problems with registration will be shown in the Status area and as a Red alarm on the
‘Overview’ page.
Direct
No Gatekeeper registration will be preformed, hence it is not possible to dial through the
Gateway. The H.323 Gatekeeper Status window will show ‘Inactive’.
To dial out from IP to ISDN, through the gateway, requires the use of H.323 numbers (E.164 aliases). This means
that the gateway must be registered to a Gatekeeper.
