Copy Functions
Adjusting Copy Image Density
There are three types of adjustment
available:
❖ ❖ ❖ ❖ Auto image density
The machine automatically adjusts
the image density.
❖ ❖ ❖ ❖ Manual image density
You can adjust the density of the
overall original in 7 steps.
❖ ❖ ❖ ❖ Combined auto and manual image
density
Use when copying originals with a
dirty background (such as news-
papers). You can adjust the fore-
ground density while leaving the
background unchanged.
Auto image density
AAAA
Make sure that the [Auto Image Den-
sity]
key is selected.
Manual image density
AAAA
Press the [Auto Image Density] key
to cancel it.
BBBB
Press the [Lighter] or [Darker] key to
adjust the image density.
Combined auto and manual image
density
AAAA
Make sure that the [Auto Image Den-
sity]
key is selected.
BBBB
Press the [Lighter] or [Darker] key to
adjust the density.
