Getting Ready
Turn the power on and get ready to shoot.
Charging the Rechargeable Battery
The rechargeable battery needs to be charged before use.

Insert the battery into the battery charger, making sure that
the r and s markings on the battery match those on the
battery charger.
• The battery label should face up.

Be careful not to reverse the r and s sides.

Plug the battery charger into an
outlet.
• Use the battery charger (BJ-10)
to recharge the battery. With the
charger other than BJ-10, the
charging cannot be performed.
• Charging starts. Charging status
is indicated by the charger lamp
as shown in the table below. Once
charging has finished, unplug the
battery charger from the power
outlet.

Off Charging complete
Flashing The battery charger terminal may be soiled or the battery
charger/battery may be faulty. Unplug the battery charger
from the power outlet, and remove the battery.
• The estimated battery charging time is shown below. Depending on
the battery level, the charging time differs.
