Chapter 8
The shading is adjusted at the factory. However, if you
accidentally drop the machine, you may want to adjust shading
for optimized lightness.

Place your original document face down on the Scanner Bed with
the top left of the original to the green mark (
), and close the
Printer Top Cover.

Press the Setup button until
MAINTENANCE appears in
the display.

Press
➛ or ❿ until ADJUST
SHADING? appears in the
second row of the display.

Press the Enter /Select button.

Press Enter/Select again
when prompted by ARE YOU
SURE?
The machine scans and
adjusts the shading.
