æ Before beginning, read Important Information
on page 65.
To begin preparation for injecting your insulin,
pull out the InDuo™ insulin doser. Do not press any
buttons on the meter cap while you remove the
insulin doser. Attach a NovoFine
® needle. You will
then be ready to prime your insulin doser and dial
your insulin dose. If your InDuo™ insulin doser
contains an insulin suspension (cloudy insulin) you
must resuspend the insulin by turning the InDuo™
insulin doser up and down as described on page 21
of this manual and in the Penfill
® package insert.
How to attach a NovoFine ® needle
• Pull out the InDuo™ insulin doser.
• Take the protective tab off the NovoFine
® needle
and screw the needle firmly onto the Penfill ®
colour-coded cap inside your insulin doser a.
• Pull off the outer and inner needle caps before
priming your insulin doser. (See page 24 or 42).
