78 Clearing Jams
230 Paper Jam
Check Duplex
Jams in the following three areas result in a 230 attendance mes-
sage. See the appropriate area for the paper jam:
• “Paper path area in front of duplex unit” on page 79
• “Inside the duplex unit” on page 81
• “Back of the duplex unit” on page 82
(The page may be entering the duplex unit, inside the duplex
unit, or exiting the duplex unit to go back to the printer to exit
after printing.)
N OTE : To avoid tearing paper when removing the duplex front
access cover, pull it out gently and slowly.
You must check all of the areas to make sure you clear the 230
attendance message.
N OTE : To resolve the paper jam attendance messages, you must
clear all paper from the paper path.
