• Key Lock (LCK)
Press and hold this key for second to lock the transceiver
keys. Press and hold the
Key Lock key again to unlock
the keys. The PTT switch, Selector, Concentric switch,
and Toggle switch still function normally, and the following
functions can still be operated: Battery Status, Emergency,
Light, Monitor, Monitor Momentary, Squelch Off, Squelch Off
Momentary, Function, and Speaker Attenuation.
• Light (LIT)
Press this key to turn the display and keypad backlight
on. The backlight remains on for 5 seconds before
automatically turning off. While the backlight is on,
pressing any key other than the
PTT switch, the Volume
control, or the
Light key will reset the 5 second timer. To
manually turn the backlight off, press the
Light key again.
If Auto backlight is activated by your dealer, the backlight
will activate by pressing any key other than the
PTT switch
or the
Volume control.
• Low Transmit Power (LOW)
When using a channel programmed with high power, press
this key to change the output power to low. Press the
Low
Transmit Power key again to return to high power.
• Monitor (MON)
Press this key to turn the transceiver signaling off, to listen
to all calls that are received on the channel. Press the
Monitor key again to turn the transceiver signaling back on.
• Monitor Momentary (MON)
Press and hold this key to momentarily turn the transceiver
signaling off. Releasing this key turns the transceiver
signaling back on. While signaling is off, you can listen to
all calls that are received on the channel.
