3 Tone/Pulse
Select the type of telephone line
that is being used.
If Pulse is selected, press the [*]
key to temporarily change the tele-
phone line type to Tone.
After using the machine with the
receiver on the hook, return the
setting to Pulse.
• The default setting is Tone.

Select the number of rings that are
sounded when a fax is received. • The default setting is 2.

Select whether or not a received
fax is reduced if it does not fit
within the size of paper loaded into
the machine. • The default setting is On.

Specify the default resolution.
STD. : For documents containing
normal text (such as hand-

Specify the default brightness.
Normal : Sends the document
without any adjustments.
Light : Lightens dark docu-

Select the volume of the connec-
