• When using the menu or Q.MENU items, some menu items can not be used at the same
time, or may be grayed out.
• For more information, see the Troubleshooting pages, “140~147.”
• For the purpose of easy understanding, all the menu setting examples from this page are
explained based on the simplest methods.
The menu setting methods can be different depending on the user's chosen menu options.

HANDLING MENUS AND QUICK MENUS
Follow the instructions below to use each of the menu items listed in this manual.
This chapter uses “Aperture,” and “Focus” functions of the video record mode as an example.
1.
Open the LCD screen to turn on the camcorder.
• If you fi nd the LCD screen is already open when the power
is turned off, press the power (
) button to turn on the
camcorder.
2.
Select the Video (
) or Photo (
) mode by pressing the MODE
button.
3.
Press the Q.MENU button on your camcorder to see the available
menu options. The quick menu screen appears.
4.
Touch “Focus.”
5.
Touch the desired option.
• Adjust the setting values accordingly.
• To exit the menu, touch the Exit ( ) or Return (
) tab.
Using the Q.MENU button
1.
Open the LCD screen to turn on the camcorder.
• If you fi nd the LCD screen is already open when the power is turned
off, press the power (
) button to turn on the camcorder.
2.
Select the Video (
) or Photo (
) mode by pressing the MODE
button.
3.
Touch the Menu (
) tab on the touch panel.
• The menu screen appears.
• To change the current page, touch up (
)/down (
) tab.

Touch “Aperture”
• Some functions cannot be used at the same time. In this case, a
message appears and asks if you accept that the related function
is disabled. Touch “Yes,” to disable the related function setting and
then continue the menu setting as you desired.
5.
Touch the desired option. Adjust the setting values accordingly.
• Touch the decrease (

as you want.
